GENETIC POLYMORPHISM FOR TUMOR NECROSIS FACTOR (TNF-Α) AND BLOOD PRESSURE OF PEOPLE EMPLOYED IN HIGH RISK WORKPLACE SHOWS A SIGNIFICANT CONNECTION.
One of the biggest problems that workers can have are harmful conditions of the working environment such as outdoor work, chemical substances and noise which can lead to disorders of the immune system and thus with workers’ health. The immune system is regulated by a complex cytokines’ network. Cytokines are glycoproteins produced by various types of immune cells (lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, etc). The Tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) is cytokine with significant role in inflammation, which is very important for innate and acquired immunity and apoptosis . It has been proved that obesity, smoking and aging increase TNF-α secretion while physically activity and dietary supplements reduce its production . Genetic variations, primarily polymorphisms of one nucleotide, affect the level of TNF-α and according to literature data, they might be related to a higher risk for developing different diseases. The most commonly studied polymorphism in literature is in the promoter region of the TNFA gene at position 308 (G308A), whereby the existence of the A allele is often linked with increased TNF-α production . The aim of this study is to determine the connection between TNFA-308 genotypes and health conditions of people employed in high risk workplace.
ANCIENT PLANT AS A POTENTIAL NATURAL CURE FOR TONSILLITIS
Himachal pradesh, India has many natural resources. Long ago Dayak tribe embraced nature into their daily activities and the use of plants to cure was only believed as blessings from gods. One of them is Kalaupapa (Vitex pinnata L.) to cure tonsillitis. In this era, Dayak plants are rarely known and have become useless. Villagers prefer modern medical treatment instead of traditional medical treatment, the work focuses on using the plant extract to cure tonsillitis.

Zinc Oxide (ZnO) nanostructures are one of the most applicable semiconductors that are widely used in various industries such as chemical industries and sensors such as gas sensors, UV and PH detectors, chemical sensors, and biosensors.There are numerous methods for synthesizing ZnO nanowires such as chemical vapor deposition (CVD), physical vapor deposition (PVD), sputtering, sol gel, wet chemical, and electro spinning which simplify provision of them. ZnO nanowires are biocompatible in normal concentrations, however, recent researches have shown a noteworthy level of cytotoxicity in high concentrations. As studies have shown, cytotoxicity of ZnO nanowires is attributed to Oxygen vacancies.

NUTRIENT CHANGE THEORY AND ACMELLA ULIGINOSA EXTRACT : ANSWER AND A POTENTIAL CURE TO ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE OF ORAL CAVITY BACTERIA
The research focuses on discovering a theory behind antibiotic resistant bacteria and their evolution in the oral cavity, and a new molecule from a plant “Acmella uliginosa” was discovered and was used to standardize the effect antibiotics on these resistant microbes, using 675 antibiograms, 1200 morpholigical test and 275 disc diffusion assays.
A NOVEL ANTIBACTERIAL AND ANTI-FUNGAL AGENT FROM EICHHORNIA CRASSIPES (WATER HYACINTH)
Bacterial and fungal infection in humans and plants is an undiscriminating concern to countries worldwide. Some of the contributors are Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus sobrinus, Magnaporthe grisea, Fusarium oxysporum and Aspergillus niger. Large number of it occurs in developing countries with poor economic condition such as countries like Africa and Asia. Eichhornia crassipes, also known as water hyacinth in English, is a floating hydrophytic plant that is notorious for its invasive ability. Due to its prolificness, the plant constantly and quickly causes eutrophication and retardation of the flow of the water it lives in. This results in the need of constant removal of this plant by the people.This research has led to the discovery of using the abundantly found Eichhornia crassipes, as a cheap yet effective source of antibacterial and Antifungal agent.
ACCURACY COMPARISON OF OBJECT AND COLOR RECOGNITION IN HUMAN NEAR AND FAR PERIPHERAL VISION.
The aims of this study were to compare the accuracy of near and far peripheral vision when observing words, colors, alphanumerics (letters and numbers) and simple shapes, as well as to compare the perceived difficulty of each of those tasks between near and far peripheral vision and find whether there is a difference in performance between the sexes.
PROCURING PROCESS OF POTENTIAL ANTI-TUBERCULOSIS DRUGS
Tuberculosis represents the second most common cause of death worldwide among infectious diseases. The pathogenic agents of tuberculosis are mycobacteria from the group Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex. The treatment of this disease is considerably complicated by the occurrence of resistant and multi-resistant strains of mycobacteria. This work deals with the synthesis of substances for which the activity against pathogenic agents of tuberculosis resistant to commonly used antituberculosis drugs is expected.
SYNTHESIS OF SUGAR-MODIFIED NUCLEOSIDES AND ITS CYTOTOXIC EFFECTS.
As cancer is a serious threat all around the world, numerous research collaborations work on anticancer medicines and molecules. One of the most important components of the potential cure on cancer is the chemotherapy. Several nucleoside analogue is used to be a beneficial treatment for cancer because of their antimetabolic character. These nucleoside compounds can be produced in two different ways: modifying the nucleobase or modifying the sugar part. During my work sugar-modified pyrimidine nucleosides were produced and their biological activity was studied. I used photoinitiated thiol-ene ‘click’ reaction on nucleosides at first in the world. Besides the reaction, the produced compounds are unique as well.
BROMELAIN (PINEAPPLE STEM) POWER HISTAMINE POISONING PREVENTION AND FAT DECOMPOSER
The solution to excessive fat and histamine in protein sources is found in the pineapple stem, which hasn’t been utilized optimally for these purposes. Pineapples contain bromelain enzyme, a proteolytic enzyme capable of hydrolyzing the peptide bonds in the protein, histamine to smaller molecules or amino acids. The pineapple stem has been known to contain the largest percentage of bromelain enzyme. It also contains vitamin C, vitamin B and polyphenols which work in the human body to inhibit the formation of lipids
USE OF THALIDOMIDE: POTENTIAL THERAPY OF METASTASIS IN MELANOMA
Nowadays, both the increasing incidence of melanoma and the mortality it implies demand our greatest interest in finding possible strategies for curing it. Usually being identified only during it's late stages, most cases of melanoma have already employed metastasis in their development when diagnosed. On this basis, we chose to study the possible efficacy of thalidomide in reducing the invasiveness of malignant melanocytes, considering its current use for treating multiple myeloma, and combine it with resveratrol, a natural compound found in the skin of grapes, blueberries, raspberries, mulberries and peanuts.
PHLOROGLUCINOL: A NEW SIGNIFICANT STRUCTURAL MOTIVEIN DEVELOPMENT OF CHEMOTHERAPEUTICS IN LUNG CANCER.
According to available statistical data, lung cancer globally represents the most common oncological disease. Therefore, more effective chemotherapeutics than existing ones, preferably those of natural origin, are more than welcomed. Gallic acid is mostly present in berry fruits and grapes. In literature, its antitumor activity is particularly in relation to liver cancer.The aim of this study was to determine both the cytotoxic activity of total phenolics present in the seeds of selected grape types (at the extract level) and individual phenolic compounds (Gallic Acid, Pyrogallol and Phloroglucinol; Figure 1) on the epithelial cells of adenocarcinoma A-549 at in vitro conditions. As the most active sample, Phloroglucinol was also screened in vitro for its genotoxic properties as well.
